VC Rocks Bookmark Swap

Image
I hosted a swap called "Save That Page" a couple of months ago for VC Rocks.  I took pictures of all of the bookmarks are received thinking I would get the pictures posted while I was in a hotel room with nothing to do at night.  It was quite late by the time I we were settled in hotel rooms and getting on my laptop was not on my list of things to do.  We spent a week with my mom and by the time we got to where we were moving, we explored the area we would be living in, cleaned and painted the house waiting for our things to arrive.  It was a busy time.  I still need to finish my sewing/stamping area.  I'm missing a couple of boxes, one being my cardstock.  I need to go through our storage area to be sure it didn't get put there with the Christmas boxes. This first bookmark is by Brenda Hugar.  I took a picture of it closed and opened. Catie Palmer made a bookmark that has magnets on the other side of the circle.  I love that typ...

Gift Cards Galore

Image
I had the opportunity to host a swap for VC Rocks this summer.  My swap was gift card holders.  I was excited to get some ideas hosting this swap.  I'm known to buy a gift card and toss it inside the card, put it in the envelope, seal it and call it good.  This top holder is one of my favorites from the swap.   Anita Watson  started with a base of a full-sized card (4-1/4x5-1/2).  In the center upper half of the right side on top, she used a circle punch, cutting half of a circle.  She then folded the top part of the card in half.  You can see that there is a flap in the picture where the Calypso Coral CS is.  This is where the gift card is held.  The 1/2 circle punch makes for easy access to the gift card. Beverly Williams  made this gift card holder.  The Summer Sun CS slides out and holds the gift card. Sue-Lynn Bock showed a creative way to use the petal punch! Diane Villegas  has a fun ang...
