Vintage Birthday

I saw this on Pinterest, which led me to lwdesigns.blogspot.com.  I had to CASE this.  Love the colors of the card and the look. Doily Friends

Image
This is my completed preview challenge card.  It combined a couple of challenges where you had to stamp a border on your card and have a wrinkled, torn piece of black cardstock.  I switched my cardstock to gray because the first challenge allowed you to stamp in black, gray and one other color for the border of the card.   This was the first time I used the doily die.  It actually worked pretty well.  I did it with a piece of vanilla cardstock and this coral piece.  It went through the coral well, but you would definitely need a shim for the vanilla. Stamps:  Vintage Vogue CS:  Calypso Coral, Basic Gray, VV Ink:  Calypso Coral, Basic Gray Misc.:  Large Paper Doily and Lots of Tags dies, dimensionals

Vintage Vogue

Recently I had to pull out all of my DP for a project I was doing with the girls at church. I saw a card using this DP and I liked how well it went with the Rich Razzleberry. I was delighted to find I had this DP and never had opened it. Thanks to Nancy Riley, I was able to make several of these cards. Stamps: Vintage Vogue CS: Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, WW, Cottage Wall DP Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Old Olive Misc: ribbon, rhinestone brad, eyelet border punch, dimensionals

Vintage Friends

This was my first attempt at using the scallop trim border and corner punch together. It took a couple of tries but it isn't too bad. Check it out, I actually used a wheel. I have so many but I'm not a wheel person. Stamps: Vintage Vogue CS: VV, Soft Suede Ink: Soft Suede, VersaMark, Pretty in Pink Misc.: Ribbon, scallop trim punches, Detail White EP, dimensionals

Kindness to an Art

Image
I started this card a week ago and was waiting for the punch to be delivered. It came and I punched the flower and didn't like it. I sponged it . . . still didn't like it. Tried a corduroy button in the center of the flower . . . blah. There it sat all but the flower on the card. Finally today it hit me to use the pretty in pink in the flower center. I still want something more in the center but I know I tend to go overboard when I start adding. Less is more for me. When I practice more is more it is too much. Stamps: Vintage Vogue, With all My Heart CS: VV, Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Sending Love DP Ink: Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Chocolate Chip Misc.: ribbon, bling, dimensionals

Jami's Class

Image
Jami had her class last night and today she shared a couple of cards that Lauren did with the group. I thought the heart one looked fun and the colors on the friend card were different and looked good together. They would be good colors for a male card, not the card itself though. :) Friend Stamps: Vintage Vogue CS: Not Quite Navy, Vanilla, Dusty Durango, Sahara Sand Ink: Not Quite Navy, Dusty Durango, Sahara Sand Misc.: Dimensionals & Vanilla ribbon, oval punches Heart Stamps: I {Heart} Hearts, Well Scripted, With All My Heart Ink: Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip CS: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, WW Misc: Button, thread, piercing, dimensionals, heart border punch
