I just experienced one of those needed do-over moments. I made the card below first, recalling measurements but not the direction the card was supposed to be going. I had to adjust the Old Olive CS, because that measurement seemed small. I went to link up to the sketch and discovered my error. I was going to go with it because it is late, I'm tired and there are dishes to do. I couldn't do it. I tried but I couldn't post it today of all days. The above card is my do-over. I like it. I'm going to do the dishes and go to bed. We've got 4 girls sleeping over but I will sleep through their laughs and chatter. Enjoy!
I found this gem of an idea on Pinterest and thought it would be a perfect little thank you for all of the teachers and leaders that work with the kids in Primary at church. I included Scout leaders and Activity Day Leaders, which meant that I needed 36. I set out on a hunt for these cute, little 4 oz. jars. A couple of months ago I saw a lot of them but now it was hard to find it. After several unsuccessful trips, I ended up going 30 minutes away to another store that showed they had enough cases in stock. Super easy to make and well received.

Can you believe that it is October 5th and I'm actually starting my Christmas cards?! How many years I plan to be working on them by now and I really get started in November.
This card uses the stamp set Reason for the Season. I combined a lot of things I like on this card, embossing, piercing and using the aquapainter. The piercing is hard to see but it is on the red strip above the poinsettia.
Stamps: Reason for the Season

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Mossy Meadow
Misc.: Boughs and Berries EF, rhinestones, Real Red 3/8" satin ribbon (retired), aquapainter
I hear this is popular to do again. I was trying to think when it was that it was "in" and I'm guessing it was 6 years ago. Like fashion, techniques come full circle with slight changes. The change this round is using the white pen to add dots. Super easy to do with a different look that pops.
