I just experienced one of those needed do-over moments. I made the card below first, recalling measurements but not the direction the card was supposed to be going. I had to adjust the Old Olive CS, because that measurement seemed small. I went to link up to the sketch and discovered my error. I was going to go with it because it is late, I'm tired and there are dishes to do. I couldn't do it. I tried but I couldn't post it today of all days. The above card is my do-over. I like it. I'm going to do the dishes and go to bed. We've got 4 girls sleeping over but I will sleep through their laughs and chatter. Enjoy!
I found this gem of an idea on Pinterest and thought it would be a perfect little thank you for all of the teachers and leaders that work with the kids in Primary at church. I included Scout leaders and Activity Day Leaders, which meant that I needed 36. I set out on a hunt for these cute, little 4 oz. jars. A couple of months ago I saw a lot of them but now it was hard to find it. After several unsuccessful trips, I ended up going 30 minutes away to another store that showed they had enough cases in stock. Super easy to make and well received.
For 8 jars, you will need:
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
10 pkgs. (2 oz. ea.) caramel dipping sauce
2 Skor bars or a bag of Heath toffee bits
8 (1/2C or 4 oz.) Mason or Ball jars
Mix the cream cheese with 2 of the dips. Divide it between the 8 jars. Clean the rim after it you smoosh it down and smooth it. Spread 1 pkg. of the caramel dip on the cream cheese layer in each jar. Top with crushed S…
I hear this is popular to do again. I was trying to think when it was that it was "in" and I'm guessing it was 6 years ago. Like fashion, techniques come full circle with slight changes. The change this round is using the white pen to add dots. Super easy to do with a different look that pops. You aren't going to believe, it, but my Christmas card I made for this swap won a prize. Thanks to Hunter who liked it, I ended up getting a package of Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags. I realize I should use them for cards or packages, but I'm thinking I want to use them as little notes throughout the month thanking people for what they've done/do. Over the past year, I notice I have gotten better about recognizing things but I don't always take that time to acknowledge. I'll carry these with me and I'll always have something to write on and I can pass it to them as I go about my day but still be able to say "Well done!", "Congratulations", "Thanks", etc.
